Speech Language Pathology

I attended Augustana University where I received a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minored in American Sign Language in 2019 and Minnesota State University Moorhead where I received my Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2021.

I started my speech language pathology career with Embrace in 2021. My areas of interest include early language skills, feeding therapy, oral motor/orofacial myology (tongue and/or lip tie), and speech sound production.

I am working towards being certified in orofacial myology through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). I am also interested in learning more about different feeding therapy approaches.

I am from South Dakota where my parents, brother, sister-in-law, 2 nieces, and our family dog lives. Being an auntie is one of my favorite titles. When I am not spending time with friends and family, I enjoy eating at local restaurants, traveling, reading mystery thriller novels, and exercising.

I love what I do because I see kids make great progress towards their speech goals during each session and meet the amazing families along the way. I love the collaboration approach used at Embrace between disciplines to better help our clients, too!

My absolute favorite story to tell is how I brought home our family dog, Yogi.
