Hi! My name is Emilee Staehnke. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and certified in Orofacial Myology. My areas of expertise include lactation, feeding, Orofacial Myology (including thumb-sucking elimination, tongue and lip tie assessment, oral rest posture training), Apraxia, and all Speech and Language Disorders as well.
My specialty training includes extensive training and experience in Orofacial Myology as well as certification in Orofacial Myology through the International Association of Orofacial Myology, Certified in Lactation counseling to help moms with breastfeeding support, as well as trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) feeding program to help picky eaters overcome aversions and diet limitations.
My husband Matt and I have three girls that keep busy in gymnastics and we spend many hours at the gym each week, they love it! I love what I do because helping kids communicate and make progress with their goals is SO VERY rewarding!
My absolute favorite is when parents say they have a hard time remembering when their child had difficulty communicating because they NEVER STOP TALKING!
